The State Legislature is an excellent opportunity to affect the big issues that we all care about in Spokane.  Rents and home costs are rising too fast for anyone to keep up.   We can fix that together.  Community mental health has not work properly since we deceased the number of folks living in institutions.  We can fix that together.   We do not have enough treatment options and services to deal with the fentanyl crisis.   We can fix that together.   

I was born and raised in Spokane.  I attended Lewis and Clark High School and Gonzaga University.   My mom, Mary Anne, was a teacher, principal and active in campaigns her entire life.  My dad worked for SNAP his entire career.   

I worked in the business world from 1995 to 2007.  Working for the Oakland Raiders, Major League Baseball, the Sydney Olympic and finishing with a stint as the manager of a 4 state region for TicketsWest.   In 2007 I switched to non-profits, starting our local chapter of Communities In Schools.  I served as the City Council President for 8 years from 2012-2019.  For the last 4 years I have been the Executive Director of the Spokane Low Income Housing Consortium (SLIHC).  

In every position I have held the organizations have thrived and grown.   TicketsWest doubled revenue from $13 million to $26 million in the 6 years I was in charge.   The City of Spokane’s savings account grew to $35 million while I was in charge of the budget and SLIHC has grown over 15x since I took over on 2020.   I have a track record of success.

For the last 16 years I have been creating relationships locally and statewide to address our big issues.  Join that team.   Many have already offered to join the team for this campaign.    We can tackle the big issues together.
